Below are example solution services that our team provides (but are not limited to):
Datolite has the ability to create universal billing templates that accommodate a law firm’s billing requirements for all offices. We leverage componentized pieces that can be re-used and triggered on or off based on logic and/or pre-defined options.
We understand that due to differences in business processes and protocols, your firm is unique. Our team can help build custom template features and add-ons that will better support your firm's processes.
Leverage Design Gallery's capabilities to generate electronic data upload files of various types. Provide your bank with electronic uploads that conform to their specifications, such as ACH files for transfers or positive pay files for fraudulent check detection. In Elite Enterprise, convert vendor electronic invoices into Elite's standard cost upload format or time from an acquired firm's time and billing system into a time upload format.
More clients are leveraging ebilling systems to validate their invoices. From a client’s stance, this is an efficient and effective way to quickly validate an incoming invoice against a list of preset rules. Common ebill formats are ledes98B, ledes2000, litigation advisor, etc.
Meaningful and timely reporting is paramount to understanding which aspect of a law firm is under or over performing. Example reports are attorney utilization reports, practice group reports, custom WIP reports.
Conflict reports are critical in being able to quickly indicate whether a law firm can take on new business. Our team can create custom conflict reports that highlight hits and are easy to read so that a decision can be reached accurately and quickly.
Below are example setup services that our team provides (but are not limited to):
Our team accommodates installs and upgrades for Design Gallery versions ranging from EDG 2.4+ all the way through EDG 3.01+. We also have experience upgrading templates that leveraged legacy converters to XML based data files.
Design Gallery is highly extensible through the use of plugins. The EDG data transformation and distribution software can plug into Document Management Systems (DMS), Expense Management Software (ask us about Chrome River), and others. We are open to developing new plugin ideas as well.
The new release of Design Gallery 3.0+ is based on Microsoft Workflow Foundation (WF). The WF foundation is very open which provides more options during process analysis and gives Design Gallery consultants more flexibility when setting up distribution in EDG 3.0+ solutions.
Converting from Whitehill/Document Studio? Over time you templates may have grown to the point where you are unaware of all of the options and logic that have been built in. Datolite can automate the analysis of your templates to help determine what you have already and if it is still needed. We have the experience and knowledge to be able to convert to Design Gallery from other systems as well including Omega and Aderant.
A Document Management System (DMS) maintains version history for previously run proformas and/or invoices. There are plugins available that can profile Design Gallery created documents to a DMS library. The most common DMS that we work with is Filesite.
If your firm is on 3E and leveraging versions below Design Gallery 3.0+ to produce your templates – it is common practice to leverage the 3E Attachment plugin to active the golden paperclip feature. This is important for reprints and version history in processes like: Invoices, Proforma Edit, Check Maintenance.
During 3E conversion projects it is necessary to shift between 3E instance to instance for a number of reasons as the project progresses. We are able to help ensure that important items like your firms Design Gallery templates are ported over along with important 3E setups related to templates
Datolite’s custom plugin allows Design Gallery invoice and proforma solutions to attach images from Chrome River Invoice into the Word or PDF outputs. When a user runs a data file to Design Gallery to be converted into an output, the Design Gallery solution checks if the Chrome River’s cloud based system has any images associated with vouchers in that file and downloads those images, automating what would otherwise be a manual process.

Whether it is to assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or helping the project team meet tight deadlines producing their billing reports – onsite support often can provide clarity to unclear situations and quicker turnaround time on project tasks.
It is important to have the proper support during a go live transition. Having a Design Gallery consultant onsite during this part of the project ensures that issues with billing and reporting outputs are identified and addressed quickly.
We know that month end proforma processing can be stressful at times, especially for the first couple months after go live. We suggest having a consultant available who can quickly react to any unforeseen events and to provide overall processing support.
Experience combined with proven techniques to help identify template related issues help us reduce turnaround time and produce effective results. We troubleshoot issues for all versions of Design Gallery, Document Studio (Whitehill), and various plugin features.
The hardest part of a new Design Gallery project can be knowing where to begin. We can help by applying our extensive Design Gallery implementation experience to the creation of project requirements. We can also develop a roll out plan so projects can be divided into manageable phases.
No matter how automated a data transformation process becomes, at some level it still involves people to interact with or react to the data produced. Fully leveraging new solutions requires an understanding of how the new solution will change the daily work tasks of individuals at your firm. Allow us to help in the implementation of Design Gallery solutions by helping to determine the process of how the solution will be used.
