Position: QA Tester

Position Overview: As the QA Tester you will be supporting the innovation behind Datolite Solutions in house product development. The QA Tester will sit on the Paperless Proforma | Rocket Product team and test the functionality and usability of new and existing products here at Datolite. The QA Tester will work closely with the Product Developers and Technical Consultants to provide ongoing testing and feedback to support in the continued delivery of high-quality products here at Datolite Solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Review product requirements and design documents, then create, execute and document detailed, accurate test cases from scratch.
  • Analyze, develop, debug, execute, maintain, and document test cases.
  • Work with the development team to define test data and environmental requirements.
  • Function as lead in logging defects and independently lead issue resolution of defects.
  • Effectively utilize expertise of Software Development team, Innovation Team, and/or Technical Consultant to identify testing solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support to your technology peers and the overall business.
  • Play a key role in developing test strategies and plans, traceability matrices and test closure reports, for low to moderately complex projects.
  • Offer day-to-day test environment support, trouble shoot, triage issues, coordinate resolution with software development team.
  • Promptly identify and raise awareness of issues to Senior Developer or the current projects respective Division Director.
  • Provide ongoing prompt issue resolutions with the product development team.
  • Find ways to improve processes and delivery outcomes.
  • Promote and develop awareness of testing methodologies and standards to the organization.
  • Support automation and test data management strategies.
  • May develop, debug, execute and maintain performance testing scripts using various performance testing tools.
  • Respect Datolite Solutions technology development practices, standards, and project management disciplines.
  • Continuously enhance QA knowledge and expertise, keeping up to date on current trends.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an Undergraduate Degree in Technology/Software Development or a Technical Certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA Tester.
  • Minimum 3 years’ firsthand experience with Microsoft programming languages.
  • Experience with creating and running automated testing would be an asset.
  • Ability to perform QA testing independently leads and coordinates testing activities.
  • Strength in writing and executing scripts and scenarios, as per methodology.
  • Eagerness to develop testing processes, strategies, plans, and methodologies.
  • An excellent reputation as a self-driven tester with continuous improvement in mindset.

Position Overview:

Due to continued growth, Datolite is looking to hire a Technical Consultant, focusing on Legal Billing Templates, to join their growing and reputable organization. Our Technical Consultants work directly with c-suite finance, IT, and operations managers in law firms to customize, develop, and implement industry leading billing reports. These billing reports allow law firms to streamline internal processes and gain competitive advantage in the market.

As a Technical Consultant, you will be the technical lead on multiple client projects from requirements gathering to go live implementations. You will take a customer centric approach while applying customized, innovative and quality technical solutions. You will work closely with fellow Technical Consultants, Project Mangers and, depending on the project, our Product Development Team and/or Managing Partners. This role will require projects to be managed majority vis distance and at times on client site.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead client technical consultations on individually assigned projects to gather client project requirements.
  • Customize and configure templates to agreed requirement specifications using CSS, XML, XSLT as well as Windows Workflow in Word ML and VB.NET.
  • Provide custom, concise and innovative technical solutions for clients EDG templates.
  • Design and develop documentation of technical solutions in EDG (Design Gallery).
  • Train end users and customer development staff in the functionality of products.
  • Participate in weekly division meetings – provide updates on client projects, business successes and roadblocks, receiving and offering support/advice to fellow Technical Consultants.
  • Complete detailed and accurate time entry/billing for client work daily.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT, Software Development, or Consulting role
  • University Degree in Information Technology, Software Development or a Business Degree with a certification in IT or Software Development.
  • Must possess strong technical knowledge of SQL, XML, XSLT, XPATH and Windows Workflow Foundation.
  • Experience with Elite and/or Aderant legal software, WORDML and VB.NET is a valuable asset.
  • Expertise in interpreting and manipulating large sets of data.

Working Conditions: 90% remote e-office environment with up to 10% travel annually.
