Position Overview:

Due to overwhelming client demand of our Datolite Rocket product, Datolite is looking to hire a new Product Developer. This individual will be a member of a team of Product Development experts, who are the original creators of this product, and collaboratively focus on the continued innovation and enhancement of our industry leading proforma/prebill automation product. This role will require tasks to be completed in a high-functioning and collaborative remote working environment. Our Software Developers are a team of agile developers who respond to client needs with innovative products that interact with industry leading practice management software. The Product Development team support in the creation of engaging, user friendly and innovative technology products for the world’s leading law firms.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, design and implement software applications with the senior development team using .NET platform technologies.
  • Collaborate with the Innovation Team, Technical Consultants and Clients to determine the scope and expectation of software development projects.
  • Assist in the requirements gathering and documentation of client product requirements.
  • Support in the presentation of products to clients or client prospects.
  • Develop and implement new product features from the extensive backlog.
  • Work with Innovation Team to gain a deep understanding of the reasons and rationale behind current Product designs.
  • Identify unnecessary redundancy, duplication, deprecated functionality and opportunities for improving quality of Products.
  • Focus on standardization and simplification, cost reduction, appropriate investment, system resilience, high cohesion and lose coupling.

Qualifications:

  • Focus on standardization and simplification, cost reduction, appropriate investment, system resilience, high cohesion and lose coupling.
  • Possess a College Diploma in Technology/Web-based Software Development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Developer using .Net platform technologies – ASP.NET, VB.net, C#, LINQ
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with web development technologies – JavaScript (jQuery), CSS, HTML, XML – Web Development and Microsoft Azure DevOps
  • Database Management – SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSMS, MySQL, SQLite)
  • Technical skills (assets) – Razor/MVC 5, Presentation Frameworks: Bootstrap, React, Vue, API’s, MS Power BI.
  • An excellent reputation as a self-driven technical professional with a continuous improvement mindset.

Position Overview:

As the Director/Manager, Product Sales and Business Development, at Datolite Solutions you will be responsible for developing our client base to achieve revenue targets while fostering strong existing client relationships. You will play a business-critical role in identifying new business opportunities, creating innovative sales strategies, while ensuring potential and existing clients are informed on the latest technical solutions and products available through Datolite Solutions. This is an opportunity to take your sales expertise into a hands on independently driven full-cycle key sales opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue and growth targets while maintaining a focus on service excellence.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects to understand their needs and align our products and services accordingly.
  • New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
  • Proposal and Contract Management: Oversee the preparation of proposals, contracts, and pricing negotiations in collaboration with the sales team and division leaders.
  • Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance and generate regular reports for management, tracking key performance indicators, and making data-driven recommendations. Providing detailed sales reports to managing Partners.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow Sales team members and divisional leaders to ensure the successful technical sales meetings and delivery of best solution options are made.
  • Service Excellence: Ensure that client expectations for service excellence are met or exceeded throughout the sales process and the duration of ongoing client relationships.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about legal technology trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adapt strategies as needed.
  • Marketing: Collaborate with Marketing to ensure Sales messages of services and products, conferences and market insight are being delivered.
  • Data Integrity: Update sales systems daily ensuring client and sales information is accurate.
  • Client Escalations: Key point of contact for project and client escalations.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in full-cycle tech sales – legal industry is ideal but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of software sales required and consulting services is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools such as SalesForce.
